The Studio

OakTree Games, in brief.

One developer, Kyle, writes the code, designs the systems, directs and approves every shipped asset, and writes the devlogs, working evenings and weekends around a day job and a young family. There is no team, no publisher, and no marketing department. When the devlog says what shipped and what broke, that's the developer talking.

The studio builds in public: weekly devlogs since the first commit, an open roadmap, no hype cycle.

Cosmic Scale.

Cosmic Scale is a solo-built factory game set on real 3D planets you can walk and fly across, where a single mining laser is the first step toward wrapping a star in a Dyson swarm.

Released

Infinite Initiative.

A free deckbuilding roguelike that runs entirely in a browser tab. Instead of playing one card at a time, the player queues a whole turn and commits it as a single escalating combo. The satisfaction is in watching the chain build and the finisher detonate.

It's the studio's smaller, faster project: proof that OakTree ships, and a free thing to actually play while Cosmic Scale is in development.

CC:

A free first-person office sim about stealing time, built solo in four days for GMTK Game Jam 2026. Every model in it was hand-finished in Blender. Plays in your browser on itch.io, with a Windows build on the same page. Full game page.

Assets

Art, on request.

The press kit is one download: seven key art renders from the studio's own Blender scene, the logo in three sizes, and a plain-text fact sheet. Anything it doesn't cover (specific resolutions, extra captures, a review build, or an interview) is one email away.

Cosmic Scale key art and screenshot packs land here once the 3D build has captures worth showing. Captures come from the real build only.

ABOUT OAKTREE GAMES

OakTree Games is a one-person indie studio building Cosmic Scale, a hand-crafted 3D factory game where a civilization climbs from a hand-held mining laser to a Kardashev Type-1 Dyson swarm. Founded in 2025 and in active development since February 2026, the studio works in the lineage of Factorio, Stardew Valley, Satisfactory, and Dyson Sphere Program: deep, layered systems over long feature lists. Everything is built in public: weekly devlogs since the first commit, an open roadmap, and no hype cycle. Two smaller games are already free in the browser: Infinite Initiative, a deckbuilding roguelike, and Cc:, a first-person office sim built in four days for GMTK Game Jam 2026.

Paste-ready boilerplate. Quote it as-is.

Covering indie games?

Every press request gets a reply from the developer himself, which also means replies can take a day or two, because it's one person. Honest answers over fast ones.
